Meet Sam (Call of the Wild - pt. II)

Here's "Sam"; the suicidal groundhog who for the past two days has been waddling right in front of my car at the bend after the intersection of 3rd Street and St. Clair in Clairton. Notice the angle of the pic. You see after I abruptly stopped my car to let him take his good ol' time to cross the street; he turned around like he forgot something and is starting to come back across the street. So I pulled away to look in my rearview mirror; and sure enough, a car behind me had to brake because he was waddling/falling down in the middle of the road right after the bend...

I do not expect for this groundhound to survive the week. But your blood will not be on my hands (wheels?) Sam...no sir-ee.
